How to Measure Your Bra Size

Follow our professional step-by-step guide to get accurate measurements at home.

What You'll Need

  • Soft measuring tape (fabric, not metal)
  • Well-fitting, non-padded bra
  • Mirror (optional but helpful)
  • Someone to help (recommended)

Pro Tip

Measure yourself in the morning when your body is at its most consistent size.

1

Measure Your Band Size (Underbust)

Instructions:

  • • Wear a well-fitting, non-padded bra
  • • Wrap the measuring tape around your ribcage, just under your breasts
  • • Keep the tape parallel to the floor
  • • The tape should be snug but not tight
  • • Take the measurement on an exhale
  • • Round to the nearest whole number

Important Notes:

  • • If the number is even, that's your band size
  • • If the number is odd, add 1 to get your band size
  • • Example: 31 inches = 32 band size
2

Measure Your Bust Size

Instructions:

  • • Keep wearing the same bra
  • • Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust
  • • Keep the tape parallel to the floor
  • • Don't pull the tape too tight
  • • The tape should lie flat against your back
  • • Round to the nearest whole number

Pro Tips:

  • • Lean forward slightly when measuring
  • • Make sure the tape doesn't slip down your back
  • • Take the measurement while standing straight
3

Calculate Your Cup Size

Formula:

Bust Measurement - Band Measurement = Cup Size

1 inch
= A Cup
2 inches
= B Cup
3 inches
= C Cup
4 inches
= D Cup

Common Measurement Mistakes

❌ Don't Do This:

  • • Measuring over thick clothing
  • • Pulling the tape too tight
  • • Measuring without a bra
  • • Holding your breath while measuring

✅ Do This Instead:

  • • Wear a well-fitting, unpadded bra
  • • Keep the tape snug but comfortable
  • • Ask someone to help you measure
  • • Breathe normally during measurement
